I thought AA miles never expire, now I see that my expiration date is in July 2013. How about Delta miles? Haven't checked those lately. Guess I better make some travel plans.

They do expire only if you have no activity for 18 months. It's very easy to go to the AA website and shop online and get a few miles. This will extend your "expiration date". You can shop at many online retailers, just link to the site from AA.
Here's the quick link.

I've also used their dining program to keep my account active. Just register your credit card with the program and you'll get miles every time you make a purchase at participating eateries. Pretty good selection of places to choose from in my area.

I had over 25,000 Delta miles but could never do anything with them. I decided not to try and extend the expiration date. I used a few thousand for magazines and donated the rest to Make-A-Wish.

Great way to extend mile lifetime is to shop thru their shopping portals. Works too well for me!

I just used 300 miles to get a magazine subscription through AA. Didn't have many miles to lose, but why let them go too. They might come in handy one day.

Extend your miles with a $2 restaurant. com purchase as an airline partner. Look at the partner list for th shopping group. You will be surprised at all the partners available. Groupon is also a partner.
