I have a friend who is wondering if there 'is there a way to block google or other website from giving your address out?'

I'm sharing this thread for them to see what if anything gets suggested

Thanks

She can also use DuckDuckGo for some privacy. I avoid Google.

I think Tia's friend means her geographical address.

The answer is not to ever have put it onto a website anywhere. Once it's there, it's there for pretty much forever. My mom died 14 years ago, and Googling her name still reveals her address.

Worse, all those "spokeo" type sites where you can get an address for $3 or subscribe for $60/year get information from voter registration, tax sites, etc., so you can't really prevent your geographical address from being revealed to someone willing to pay a little for it.
