As TS owners, we often receive unsolicited calls about buying/selling our units, vacation offers, etc.
Last night, I received a very bizarre call from RCI (?) offering a special 9-night promo stay for Starwood members at (unspecified) new properties IF I was prepared to answer a few questions! I decided to ask a few questions of my own, and the caller quickly became abusive, swearing and calling me names before hanging up!
Has anyone else received such a call? As a former RCI member, I filed a complaint with them but I am sure they will deny any involvement.
I asked the caller to put me on their do not call list, but again my experience is this does not stop the calls. Any other advice welcome!

Scammers don't have an intense hiring program or training for their employees. Just by the nature of their business they tend to get the closest thing to "unemployable" as the main work force. Not surprising that this "employee" blew up on you when you had the nerve to ask questions.

Isn't Starwood with II and not RCI? There was a previous thread on a scammer going by the name of RCCI. Maybe this is who called you?

It's not really "the" RCI - it's a scam company that uses the same initials.
