Good article -- and no surprise as to the content. While life undersea will always be a dangerous endeavour, I will always believe that Russian equipment is built with a significant deficiency in the safety department -- putting way more emphasis on succeeding at the 'what' the equipment is designed to do at the cost of making sure those who need to operate the equipment can get home safely after the fact.
