A few questons on Ka'anapali

We are about to buy a timeshare deed on Ka'anapali and we are leaning towards phase 1 for a number of reasons. However, a few outstanding questions where we are looking for answers:

1) If owning Platinum season, can we reserve on a lower season at the 12 month mark or can we only reserve within platinum season (i.e. need to wait for the 8 month mark before being able to book on Gold or Silver)?
2) Is it possible to book across the phases at the 12 month mark (i.e. between Ka'anapali phase 1 and phase 2) or is this only possible at the 8 month mark (along with all other resorts within SVN)?
3) Does the building/room tied to the deed have any practical relevance in this float system (i.e. more or less priority among the island view rooms)? My assumption is that the only relevance is the room type (in or case 2 BD LO, Island View) and that the deeded unit is only for tracking purposes, but I would like this confrmed...

Thanks!

Hawaii only has one season.

They are considered two separate resorts. You have to wait until the 8 month mark to book at the other respective resort.

The room number is not relevant. The only thing that is important is the deeded view. Ocean front, Ocean View and island view are the view choices at Maui.

Supposedly, time stamp when your reservation is made is important to floor and view you receive, but even that seems hit or miss.

The Hawaii units only have Platinum season (weeks 1-50); weeks 51 & 52 were (are) sold separately at a premium.

To trade from Westin Ka'anapali (WKORV) to Westin Ka'anapali-North (WKORV-N), you would have to do this at the 8 month mark. There is no special exchange set up between the two resorts.

Yes, you are correct--only the room type matters at those two resorts--not the specific unit number.
