That kinda reminds me of a MLB record I was looking up the other day and asked if it was unbreakable. That being Rickey Henderson's stolen base record. A player would need 60 stolen bases every season for 23 seasons to break it. The longevity of it all would make such a feat nearly impossible.

@dioxide45 I love looking at things like that. I think that Rickey’s SB record is going to be around a long time, if not forever.

In the last ten years, excluding the strike shortened 2020 season, the SB leader only averaged 49.7 stolen bases so not even 60. There were two players that had multiple leader seasons in those ten years. Walt Whitfield (KCR) led the league three times. He is now out of baseball and had a total of 218 career SB. Jose Caballero (TBR and NYY) led the league twice. He has 150 career SB but at 37 years old he is going end up a fraction of Rickey Henderson’s 1406 SB. The active SB leader is Starling Marte at just 363. He also is 37 years old.

Sometimes I have to tell about my driving record in heavy trucks, I have certified (been paid for) somewhat over 3 million accident-free miles- actually I got that cert about 5 years before I retired.

So what that takes is averaging driving over 12,000 miles monthly - or about 3,000 miles every week, for 8 years for each million miles. So conservatively, I drove 3,000 miles a week through all conditions for well over 30 years.

OR, tossing in a day or two off a week and vacation time, etc, you have to average a skosh over 500 miles every day for over 30 years.

Not impossible for someone to repeat, but still notable.

Look out @DeniseM I'm closing in on half of your post-count!
