50 BEST WINE RESTAURANTS IN AMERICA

I'd like to know the restaurants with the most reasonable wine markup pricing! That should be a new classification for the restaurant review blogs.

Most fine-dining restaurants either make little or actually lose money on food; and then make their profit on the wine list. (Or on the bar. These are the sort of places that charge $300 for a shot of Pappy.)

Hmm, unfortunately I have not been to any of these... We had plans for Lazy Bear in SF, but that didn't work out

Any list like this that doesn't include Berns in Tampa is garbage. Berns has by far and away the best wine list of any restaurant in America.

such a "Hey look at me" article that actually says very little about ... WINE (but I can vouch for Bouchon in SB). Really though, if you're not going to the same restaurant 6 or more times, do you think you can't find something to enjoy off any good wine list in the 1st couple visits?

I'm looking for a place like Berns where they have 40 yo wines by the glass for $13. 50 yo ports for $8 a glass.
