A freind just bought herself a $6,000 bed from Bloomingdales as her divorce is final present to herself. But she got 75% off.

This is definitely Brittany/Paris/Nicole territory...

Question:

1. If she bought the bed before the divorce, would it have helped to save her marriage?

or

2. Did she buy this new bed because she is optimistic about her future relationships, like a post-divorce man buys a Porsche?

Who cares anyway??? If HCC bought one, I'd have serious reservations about their judgement. IMO goes to show the idiotic things some people will buy to flash their cash....:p

Hi Bill,

Truth is the husband is a lout, she's better off. I think she is hoping that it will get some use. She claims she will have it for 30 years. I told her her plan is all wrong and she should try to wear it out in 20 :D

While I "personally" agree with you and think it is silly for an individual to buy one, I think it makes 100% sense for a Destination Club (not HCC :D) to buy one and use it as an advertising gimmick. Perhaps one of the more expensive clubs will try it.

Quintess, LRW advertises they have $5,000 (est.) Duxiana beds in all their properties.

High end hotels internationally are equipping their rooms with luxury beds, so I wouldn't be surprised to find the more expensive destination clubs doing so. While the bed linked to is a bit ludicrous (IMHO at least) some of the Swedish beds that sell for $6000-$25000+ are truly amazing; don't knock them until you've tried them.
