I've booked many of these but can't remember and can't find a link: Can you book 5 night packages online?

I think you have to call an associate to book a 5 night package. To see the details login to MyVacationclub and click on Program Changes.

I think that applies to a 7 night as well. Or maybe it's just me but I've never had any success doing it online.

Years ago you could book the 7-night packages online, but that has not been possible for the last 10 years or so.

You can order the 7-day online, Go to Use Points and the Travel package.
5-day you have to call.

When you click on Travel packages it says to call to order. If you click on the package you want, at first it looks like you can order it online, but there is no order button. When you call and ask, they say it can't be done online. Have you actually ordered one online?

Ordered the package yesterday over the phone. Lots of moving points to come up with amount needed. UR to both our accounts, UA miles to both accounts, merge accounts, get certificate with 120K AA miles. First a bonus on UA and then a bonus on AA.

Hubby finally got all UA miles due to him from last travel package.

I'm still thinking of taking advantage of the AA bonus miles (expires Oct 31). As I was looking at the program I noticed this in the fine print in the link from Mr. Vker above: Participating brands include: Marriott® Hotels & Resorts, JW Marriott® Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance® Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard® by Marriott, Residence Inn® by Marriott, TownePlace Suites® by Marriott, and SpringHill Suites® by Marriott.

I can't imagine you can't use these certificates for Marriott Vacation Club properties. Does anyone know if you can use that at MVC resorts? I'd like to book a five night category 7 to use at Lakeshore Reserve over the summer but definitely want some feedback first. Thanks for any advise.

It has always been my understanding that you can, but the hotel portion of the package only covers a studio, and the price to upgrade is 5K points per night to get to a 1BR, and another 5K points per night to get to a 2BR.

5k points per nght to upgrade to a larger room sounds way too low. Have you called to find out?

Check out THIS 2014 thread which discusses it and confirms its 5K per night to upgrade from studio to 1BR and another 5K per night to upgrade from a 1BR to a 2BR.
