5 and 7 night MR awards

I searched and found the link for the 5 night package with air points. I know the regular MR thing is points for 4 nights, get the 5th night free. What is the 7 night incentive? Is it still 1 of the 7 free? I can not find a reward redemption not including air miles....is that possible?

Yeah, I was also looking for just the hotel 7 night pkg (not the air & hotel). It used to be on a separate hotel section. I was unable to find it.

Every 5th night is free, so yes with 7 nights you pay points for only 6. You could not find it because there are no special multi-night award packages except for the travel packages. Just go online and book the 5 or 7 night hotel stay and it will charge you points for 4 or 6 nights with the fifth night free. If you book 10-14 nights the 5th and 10th nights are free, and so on.

The 5 night package is for MVC owners only. The standard package available to general public is 7 night

Seaport104 is correct about the combo hotel/airline packages, but its worth clarifying (since GreenTea was asking about it) that anybody with enough MR points (not just owners) can book 5+ nights (without the package) and get the benefits of the "free night".

They don't really offer 7 night certificates. You buy the number of nights that you want and every fifth night is free. That also applies to the 7 night packages. Though it doesn't apply to the 5 night packages. The fifth night really isn't free with those.

Yes you can. You can get the hotel piece in someone else's name (as long as they have a MR account), but the airline miles must go to the person whose points are paying for the package. At least that is what they told me a couple years ago when I asked that question.

On 5 night packages, the 5th night is "free" only up to about Category 7 packages. On Category 8 packages, the 5th night costs 30K points. On Category 9, the 5th night costs 45K points which is the base cost of a Category 9 night.

FWIW, a 7 night Category 9 package only costs 45K points more that 5 night package because the 5th night remains "free" on all 7 night packages regardless of the hotel category.

We've split the Travel Packages so that we keep the miles and put a guest's name on the hotel reservation - that's how our daughter's honeymoon was booked. Neither of them had a MR account at the time.
