45 day exchange window

On 5/16/07 I used a Fairfield Williamsburg at Patriots' Place studio red week to place on hold a Barrier Island Station-Duck with a check in date of 5/26/07. On 5/17/07 I called RCI to have the unit confirmed, but to switch the deposit request to a FSP White studio deposit. The VC told me it was done and everything was fine. On 5/20/07, I checked online and saw the unit was confirmed, but by using the Patriots' Place week. Since I wanted to keep the Patriots' Place week to have for online searching, I called RCI and requested this be changed. The VC advised that neither the white nor a red FSP deposit could see the requested week. My question is: since this is in the 45 day window and all deposits are supposed to have the same trade value, why could the VC not see the unit with the FSP units?

The restriction is related to VEP and not to Trading Power in this situation. Patriot's Place deposits are within range of Barrier Island Duck; whereas, Fairfield deposits are not.

Since your original request was made under 45 days, we would consider making an exception to the VEP restriction, as long as you're confortable that Barrier Island Duck is more comparable to Patriot's Place in vacation experience than Fairfield.
