I got an II exchange into Marriott Mountainside in Park City, 2 bedroom, for spring skiing in April, 2009 (fingers crossed for last years weather this year). Curious to know what others think about:

room request
hang out spot
mountain nearby to park city
rental car vs. shuttle system
general feedback

thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rental car vs shuttle depends on how many people you have- rental car may be cheaper. There are plenty of busses to get around town so other than tot eh grocery store probably don't need. Loads of restaurants deoending upon what you want to eat. Any questisn let me kow. I have a SUmmit Watch week and also a rental condo in town.

Lucky you!! You will love Mountainside! It's right ON the mountain (well one of the many around there). You walk outside, about a dozen steps, and get on the chair lift and go right up. We like to have a car to get around everywhere but we've never been there to ski so I don't know what the situation is for ski shuttles. If you're not skiing every day and want to do something interesting, take the drive into Salt Lake City and visit the Morman Temple. No, we're not Morman but it is VERY impressive. Try to find out when their world famous choir is practicing and go then. It's really a very worthwhile trip, if you can get off the ski hill.

skiing, eating and partaking

i'll have a group of 6- we can only go for 5 of the 7 days (spring break from the school districts we work in), so it'll be slopes, plates and for the most part. usually we rent a mini van when going to colorado- cheap enough and big enough to make it all fit- but have never been to utah. nothin' fancy required- just want to go hard during the day, kick back in the evening, and enjoy...
