I just got back from WKORV and went through the timeshare presentation. They said there were 4 options for Hawaii properties. He drew a circle and divided it into 4 even...
1) Trade for a like room in Hawaii. OV in Princeville = OV in Ka'anapali for instance.
2) StarOptions for all Westin/Sheraton timeshares
3) II
4) Convert to StarPoints for hotels/cruises/flights/etc
What's confusing me is 1)... I haven't heard of this anywhere else.
I thought maybe 1) is a natural consequence of the StarOptions since all Hawaii properties are 148100 options but I asked the salesman about buying through resale and he said the only things I'd miss would be 4) and all the incentives they were giving out.
Perhaps he meant specifically WKORV since it's a mandatory site and buying resale means you can still use StarOptions on any Hawaii property?
It would really be great if I can guy Princeville (voluntary) on resale ($5000) and use WKORV every year but somehow I don't think so.
Anyone know for sure what he was talking about?
