3 night minimum - waived?

Anyone know if HGVC will waive the three night minimum if only two nights are available for reservation? I see all this little 2 night availability for some resorts and I might be inclined to see if I can take advantage of some if it's possible.

Unless something changed, the system won’t allow it for club reservations at HGVC resorts (excluding Hilton Club resorts with a one night minimum).

Try it for yourself. The reservation system normally returns a message that three nights are required during the club reservation window regardless of availability.

Maybe it's possible to get it if one were to call? Maybe have to pay the points for the 3 nights? We routinely book 3-night stays and then stay for only two on weekend trips. This way we effectively have a late checkout and can leave later Sunday while having a room all along. But not sure if they'd allow it without the actual availability.

Cheers.

Yes - I was aware of the online system limitation. I was wondering if anyone had any experience getting them to do it on the phone. I don't have anything specifically, planned so haven't called...but was curious of the experience here.

Seems odd to let all these orphan 2 nights stays get wasted.

These orphan nights can be used for open season. I'm not sure if they can be given to Hilton or not, but that might be another way for those nights to be used.

@ocdb8r , if you try it (calling & asking, I mean) and have success with it, please let us know!

Yes, I have indeed used these for Open Season in the past....it's just lost all it's value with current rates!

Of course. Like I said, nothing immediately works but I may give a call just to ask.

I agree that they have. My point was they aren't orphaned in HGVC's eyes because they can use those dates to make money via open season or maybe even releasing them to Hilton.
