3 bd Ocean Pointe with 2 bd Grande Vista

I deposited my 2 bd platinum Grande Vista for next year. I would love to get my whole family together at Ocean Pointe next year but we need a 3 bedroom. I know I can't request a 3 bd with my deposit.

Do you think I have a chance of finding it with a daily search?

Not too picky on the time of year.

You might have a shot in their silver season, May and Sep-early November. December - April is heavily owner occupied.

I would do an OGS and be very vigilant about searching manually.

I have gotten 3BR's at Ocean Pointe numerous times. I have even gotten them with $200 AC's, but that may have dried up due to the seemingly decreased trading power of AC's.

In either case your best shot is a later notice cancellation or marriott dump. The best months for these dumps are May, Sep, and Oct, but they also happen for summer weeks as well. The demand for Gold season at Ocean Pointe is not actually higher than Silver for most weeks.

Another option if you have the trades available to to snag a 2BR on an OGS during a commonly dumped month like May. The either look for the retrade into a 3BR or look for another 1BR unit. Once you have a 2BR and a 1BR you can still look for the 3BR uptrade and retrade out of the remaining unit. Use E-Plus!

With a month like Feb or Mar it's pretty much impossible but with May it's not only possible but very likely.

We were able to get a 3BR over Labor Day week last year using a 1BR Grande Vista unit. We had an initial trade in to a 2BR but retraded in to a 3BR about three months out.

I got a 3 bed Ocean Pointe unit for Christmas week 2015 with a Silver season 2 bed Grande Ocean unit with a daily search. I had initially reserved another Marriott but retraded to get the 3 bed Ocean Pointe unit.

I searched every day. We got the week of May 7th (my daughter's birthday).
