II has offered us San Diego County Estates for next July. We have 24 hours to decide whether or not to keep this resort. Would you keep this resort? Advice please! BTW... I'm in the process of renewing my TUG membership which I let expire... I know shame on me. Much thanks for any help.

I don't have any experience with this resort, but it's rated 8.43 by Tuggers and there are 30 reviews on the Tug Review Board. As soon as you renew your membership, you should be able to check out the reviews.

This resort is inland from San Diego, thus away from the ocean breeze. It can be beastly hot there is July. In fact it was this last July. IMHO if you want to stay close to SD, wait for one of the Carlsbad resorts, any other resort along the coast, or one of the Lawrence Welk resorts in Escondido. It can be hot at LW too, but you're at least closer to the ocean so you can get away for the day. Good luck.

Remote, remote, remote. If you want to be in an area away from it all this fits the bill. Even the nearest convenience store, such as it is, is 20 minutes away down winding two lane roads. The resort itself is nice and has plenty of on site things to do (they have to or you'd be bored beyond human endurance) but, in case I forgot to mention it, it is very very isolated in the mountains. If your main goal is to take part in the SanDiego - LA areas this is not the resort to choose. Both are 2 hours or more away form this area.

We have decided against accepting this exchange, the resort just seems to far away from the areas that we want to visit. A big thanks to all the Tuggers for their very helpful responses.
