2028 Fixed or Event Weeks

There have been some issues around HGVC Craig Lodges and getting our 2028 fixed weeks in HGVC. Normally, at the beginning of each year, we automatically see the fixed weeks reservations appear 2 years out so this year, 2026, we should already see the 2028 reservations but this year nothing so far. We have the 2028 points for them but normally, those disappear when they create the reservations in January each year.

For those of you that have fixed or event week ownerships, are you seeing those for 2028? I am thinking that this may be a broader issue than just Craig Lodges.

I have sent multiple emails to HGV corporate and Craig Lodges but no fix so far. They just say that they are aware of the issue and they are working on it. If you are having this issue, please send an email to HGV asking for an update of when it will be fixed. The more that they hear it, the better.

You should be able to get the 2027, those have not been an issue. When you closed with Donna, did you ask for the reservations or the points?

I asked for reservations for 2026, and then I have converted them to cover my reservations for this year. I did not speak to Donna about 2027 though. I guess I'll send her a message.

Reach out to her. She may have to get someone else to do it though.

For any new buyers: when you close on CL via the resale office. Donna should ask you if you want the points or the reservations. Always say the reservations. You can cancel them for the points in the HGVC portal but you need the reservations if you want to deposit into DEX EU

I have the 2027 reservations, but I have no 2028 reservations yet. My 2028 points available are all my owned points (no reservations taken out yet).

So, should we be concerned?

Another person commented that they have received their The Crane fixed week for 2028 so some are but interesting that other affiliates aren't.

I am not sure if we should be worried but for us that like to deposit in DEX EU, two years out, it is starting to impact folks who are wanting to deposit and book....2 years out. Some of the high demand units need to be booked about 18 months out.

Probably due to system conversion. No need to worry but make sure you don’t accidently borrow the points before the auto block occurs.
