Just exchanged into MMO and have an HOBOV (ocean view) unit code.

I have never stayed at MMO or MM1. However, I have stayed at Hyatt next door a couple of times and am familiar with the area and MMO/MM1 properties.

Does MMO typically honor room/view codes for II exchanges?

Additionally, where are the ocean view units located at MMO?

They usually honor the original view. The attached diagram shows room/view locations.

They will honor the code. We just returned from a week in a 6th Floor Ocean Front villa acquired via II exchange. It was amazing.

At MOC, no, In the original towers, yes.

I also just got an exchange into MMO with a code of HOBOV. I’m excited if the room code is honored. Picked it up for my MGC studio on an ePlus. What will fees look like? II did not show anything like taxes or parking.

At MOC, no, In the original towers, yes.

For clarification, the original and new towers are all called MOC or Maui Ocean Club.

I exchanged thru interval and made a mistake, I didn't realize the code at Maui ocean club unit was
MMO with limited kitchen. I wanted MM1 which is one of the towers, not the older buildings. I am sick about this because it is our 50th anniversary and now we will have a limited kitchen, small refrigerator and no stove top just a microwave. Is there anything I can do to see if I can get into one of the towers. We're going the end of Sept until Oct 6. Would it help at all to call ocean club and plead my case and see if I can get switched?

We were there for anniversary 25 20 years ago. We owned that type of unit for 20 years until we gave that and another in Oahu to daughter. My advice is go out to eat for dinner. This makes it more expensive but WAY better vacation for whoever was going to cook. However, there is a full kitchen downstairs with pots/pans/ovens, stoves. There are also grill right outside with possibly the nicest grill views on Earth. There are washer/dryer rooms on the ground floor. They even have some kind of hang-up steamer thing (I guess to get wrinkles out--this is something I never tried). There is even a TV lounge with a couch next to the laundry room. It's not the end of the world. I will repeat....go out for dinner more often. The rewards are far greater than the expense.

The Gourmet Center at Maui Ocean Club doesn't have ovens. There is only a toaster oven.

That's what I am talking about. It is called the Gourmet Center. They don't have ovens in there. Just cooktops, microwave, sinks and a toaster oven. I show it at the 5:12 mark of this YouTube video.

There has never been traditional ovens in the gourmet center/kitchen. Only ceramic stovetops, a microwave, and a small toaster oven. Been owner there for years, and have used the gourmet center many times (including just this past February). Also no pots in the gourmet center--you must bring the pots from your room to use in the center.

And when we were there last year there we no pans available in the units, the community kitchen or to check out that fit the nice toaster oven. They really should add convection microwaves to the units.
