If we have some 2020 points (banked from 2019) leftover due to a cancellation, is there any benefit to depositing them with Interval Intl? Do they then need to be traded for a 2020 stay?

If you deposit with Interval you get more time [2-Years] but not sure how easy.

You can have MVC convert your expiring points into a week and deposit it into II to exchange into a non MVC property. I have done it.

No, they are not the same. Trade power is determined by unit size, location, lead time of the deposit and actual demand. LV is high availability and relatively low demand. The TDI has little to do with it unless the resorts are in the same region as it's not standardized. A 150 in HI is not...

You could also book something with your expiring points, cancel with less than 60 days to check in and your points will then go into a holding account where you can book them up to 120 days in advance expiring 12/31/21. Have a look at the covid 19 cancellation policy on the MVC site.
