2017 points reservations question

Is there any way to find out how many points 2017 reservations will require, or do you have to wait until you can see them at 9 mos. out?

You can find out by doing the math when looking at the points charts. The weeks are set as Platinum, Gold, etc. So, the points won't change year to year.

Points for Reservations in HGVC

Is there any way to find out how many points 2017 reservations will require, or do you have to wait until you can see them at 9 mos. out?

There are a couple of thoughts that I would add. If you make your reservation in the middle of Platinum, Gold, Sliver, or Bronze season the calculation is easy. However, if your reservation spans two seasons then care needs to be taken as to which days of the reservation are in each period.

If the reservation is all in one reservation season on the HGVC website you can replicate the exact start day and end day during the same reservation season type and the HGVC system will calculate the number of points needed. Just don't confirm and pay for the reservation.
