2017 Club Fee's and Open Season rates, are they out yet?

Club Fee is $159. I haven't seen open seasons rates yet.

Haven't seen a 2017 Guide or Fee Schedule. IIRC, Open Season is now variable, based loosely on hotel rates.
But I was reminded to check my MF statements to see if I was charged membership dues more than once.
Amazingly enuff, they only showed up on only one statement.

.

If the Open Season rates go up again, it will be a useless 'benefit'. I wish my home resort saw some of the money from it as well. There is nothing on any of the financial statements that indicates any other revenue except from MF's.

O/S rates are not always better than hotel-rates at the same resort... Best check.
Buy even if the hotel rate is more, it may be better to book it as a hotel stay.
Hotel bookings can be made with a cancellable, pay-when-leave rate.

The International Club fee is 199$ I guess you only pay less if you have a US mailing address.

Maybe I should change my mailing address to a US one.

I've never understood why foreign members should be charged more. Its not like you get more.
Dunno if it'd work, but you could try renting a private mailbox from a US-based UPS store.

.

I think the cost to rent a private mailbox in the US would cost more than the $40 an HGVC member residing outside of the US would save.

Unfortunately, Hilton has just about destroyed any value in Open Season. Since this perk is gone it has made it more important to buy maximum point structure contracts with the cheapest maintenance fees. So far they have not figured out a way to change our season charts. Curt

I know this is an old post but I was just curious why you say they destroyed any vlaue in open season. Is it because of the seperate OS rates or is it because what I see as some small rate increases?

For some of us who have own HGVC for several years, the Open Season rates have dramatically increased from where it started.

Here's what I've observed during my years of ownership. We started with a very simple flat rate based on unit size only. It has morphed into all sort of increases based on unit type (standard, plus, premium, etc), day of week (weekday vs weekend), season (platinum, etc) and now locations. For example, what used to cost $80/night can now cost you $300/night if it's the only available one bedroom unit size to select from (depending on location).
