I questioned KIRK MARKETING a few years ago. Practices seemed to be far too questionable.

I inquired about a listing of theirs over the weekend and got a response this morning. It was immediately asking for payment which I found a little sketchy so I approached cautiously, however, I asked for proof of membership prior to remitting payment and I was sent a scan of the "Certificate of Beneficial Ownership" on the timeshare interest in question. They are requesting payment via PayPal (which I can dispute if things go south) and the risk is low. Between their positive BBB reviews and my gut feelings here as well as the low upfront cost that I'm risking, I am going to go through with it and hope all works out. I will update on this thread on my experience either way!

Their positive BBB reviews? There are lots of complaints from those who have paid to get out of their timeshare with no results and no refunds. Hmmm

Be careful they don't stretch you out for four months or longer. Very common with some sellers, and thus difficult (time consuming) to get your money back. Best of luck!

.
Thanks, like I said though, I'm alright with the amount of risk at this point even if I lose. It's like gambling, but with timeshares! :ROFLMAO: The risk is less than I would probably spend at a casino slot machine so, we'll see!

I have used KMC a few times and have had no problems. The deeds have always been delivered as advertised without any issues.
That's what I like to hear!

I got money on the line! I like to hear some positive feedback that things will work out in my favor. I'll report back once this has closed.

The money is only one aspect, you don’t want to get stuck with the wrong property, the deed prepared incorrectly etc. I’m not saying you will but these are things to watch out for. You will he stuck with it then.

Currently working with them on one as well. Will report back once this is closed. Seems to be limited information available for them.

Still questioning them a bit, as they have been working on one for us for about 2 months now, generally when we have asked for an update, we seem to get a slightly different update each time, so starting to wonder if this is going to complete. The struggle is, if this is just delayed, one doesn't want to double up and purchase another one incase it does eventually complete and be stuck with more MFs than you wanted to work with. But at the same time, it doesn't appear they have even submitted paperwork to the resort yet.

They accept PayPal because their buyers can’t dispute with PayPal if something goes wrong, even if Kirk doesn’t live up to their end of the bargain.
I disputed a Paypal timeshare transaction with good results. I had a claim settled with Paypal when a seller did not pay the last 3 months of maintenance fees. I tried contacting seller without a reply and put a claim in with paypal. Within a week there was a Paypal credit to my account for the 3 months of maintenance fees that were not paid.

Keep us posted. I’m working with them on a purchase that began in August. I inquired on the status and today’s update said they sent the deed to seller for signature. So they still have to get deed recorded, then submit to Vistana for transfer. What are you buying from them? Mine is a Westin St. John.

I have bought from them in the past and all went well but it did take longer to complete the transfer then normal. I have 2 more transferring now and I don't have much to lose if they don't work out. I have always received calls back from Rebecca and Cindy follows through with any requests that I had.

Glad it worked out for you. I take it your price paid exceeded the three months of payments refunded?

Although it worked out for you there is no guaranty it will work a second time. Timeshare transactions are clearly against PayPal rules.

Buying a BG out of Christmas Mountain. Really looking to have something so we can travel more than just the summer months.

As promised, I am providing an update on this. We now have completed our transfer. The timeline was a bit slower than I would have expected considering I had one other contract with another group that was started and closed in about 1/2 the time of this transfer. Our timeline with Kirk was something like this:

Late July initiated the process, they submitted to BG approximately mid September, contacted by the title office for BG in early November and returned requested paperwork. Mid December title submitted to BG, and transfer appeared in account mid January.

All was delivered as expected, just the timeline seemed longer than expected but with the number of factors, overall it was a good experience and saved a ton of money over buying retail.

I have had a few transfer with them without any problems but I have one that is still in process. Called all phone numbers today but none are working numbers. Not much to lose as I only paid $100. I know deed was notarized and believe it was recorded but Wyndham has not received the transfer documents or the $299 transfer fee. Signed purchase agreement July 2020.

I have heard ZERO from them. I started the process in August and I don’t think they have even got the deed recorded. I stopped emailing as it is useless. The fact that @dgalati is finding none of the phone numbers working is not encouraging. I am messaging with another Tugger who is also waiting on Kirk to do ANYTHING with his purchases as well. Looks like they are bombing out.

They did transfer a 20k Worldmark to me a few months ago. Not giving up hope yet but it does seem odd all phone numbers are not working.

I will send an email to them to request an update on their status. they do have a good number of ads in the marketplace so hopefully it is just a technical issue.

got a response that indeed indicated an issue with their internet/phone provider and thus their new number now is 865-922-0395.
