Let's go mets!
GO ROYALS!!!
I am watching the game now and the Royals just tied it at 4-4 in the bottom of the 9th. It has been a great game to watch regardless of what team you want to win.

It is clear that this series is going to go down to the 7th game.
This is an Epic Battle of Baseball Titans!
Royals came out hacking tonight. Very impressive. Tough game for a Mets fan to watch tonight. Last night we let one getaway but tonight we were spanked.
Mets made Cueto look like Cy Young tonight.......not a good time for a team hitting slump. Hope home cooking will help . Lets Go Mets.

Outstanding pitching will always stop great hitters. Also, a large ball park gave the home team an advantage.
I woke up today thinking that KC showed us that this is not always true, they lit up one of the best.
Clear as mud maybe, I don't see it that way.

I don't see the field itself being an advantage, both teams play on it and can use it's expanse to their advantage.
I see home field advantage as fan support and the last at bat which came into play in game one.
Royals hit deGrom harder than any other team has in two years. With 2 strikes he could not put the Royal hitters away and when they made outs they hit the ball hard. deGrom never hit 97/98 on the radar gun constantly last night but I don't think that would have helped much. Royals line-up is tough 1 thru 9. Nothing scares a pitcher more than a team that swings and never misses. That was the Royals in game 2. The field isn't winning this series so far, the Royals are. I still have hope the Mets will come alive like they did in 86 after losing the first two. Lets go Mets!Clear as mud maybe, I don't see it that way.

Actually the field does make a difference. The Royals ball park favors the small ball play of the Royals because of its size. It is not a home run hitters park.
I agree but his fastball has been his go to pitch until last night. He did have trouble spotting it an never came inside. He has a good curve but KC was way too comfortable in the box hacking away. Mets have a very young staff that will have to learn how to pitch rather than throw . Kudos to KC. That's a tough line up.Although I'm an avid baseball fan I don't follow deGrom that closely. But, from my point of view, his problem last night was that he was relying almost exclusively on spotting his fastball, which he was struggling to do. Had he been able to throw a better change or slider, he'd have had multiple K's or easy ground ball outs. Needs a better out pitch against a contact team like the Royals. Trying to blow heaters past a contact team typically doesn't work out very well.
