Hi, We own an every other year (odds) two bedroom worth 81,000 staroptions; and an annual two bedroom worth 67,100. We were hoping to combine the staroptions for 2013, and stay in a three bedroom. Can we request this at 12 months out, or do we have to wait until 8 months out because we want to combine the staroptions? If we are not able to do this would we be able to reserve a two bedroom and also a one bedroom, and if so what is the likley hood they would put the units next to each other? We are traveling with just our family, but my sons are teenagers and we need additional space. Also, does anyone know about the renovations being done to the property? Thanks. Sue

You can only reserve exactly what you own at 12 mos. out - all Staroption exchanges have to be made at 8 mos. out.

They will take the request, but they won't guarantee it.

It was Sheraton Vistana Resort that was being renovated - not SVV.

I read on tripadvisor that the key's section was under renovation, just trying to find out if it is true. Sue

I went to the 2010 HOA meeting and they told us that Key West would be refurbished over the coming year with new fabrics, beds and sofa beds. They said they were putting toghether new colour schemes and that we woud be able to see a model unit or stay in an upgraded one next time we visited.

I was in Orlando on 29 September 2011 but couln't face another meeting after attending two in the past so I don't know how far advanced, if at all, this plan is.
