Every time I go to the islands or go to events in the Bay Area I wish I had more island style clothes. But I hate to shop, so I go to Hawaii to visit and the last thing I want to do is clothes shop, and the Costco versions which I do run into, seem unappealing.

Any suggestions for decent quality brands that I might find on-line?? Or places in the SF Bay Area that sell this type of clothing??

This company carries a nice line of dresses, shirts and other island style clothing that is made in Hawaii. This brand can be found around the islands.
They have good sales online, but be careful because some sale items can't be returned. I love the dresses and tops I have purchased from them.

This company carries cotton clothing that washes and wears like a dream. Casual styles, that are comfortable and perfect for the island. Sold in lots of nicer shops in Hawaii.

Another brand I like for island wear is a company called Hot Cotton. I have found this brand at Macy's in Hawaii.

www.tommybahama.com Tommy Bahama is another company that carries cute island style clothing.

If you go to Maui, I would suggest stopping in to Serendipity. They are a clothing company exclusive to Maui. They have several stores on Maui. Cute clothes, a little on the dressy side.

www.toririchard.com Nice, but spendy!

Macy's actually carries Jamsworld, Fresh Produce, Tommy Bahama and Hot Cotton in their Hawaii stores. Hope this helps with some ideas for you.

The Devil made me post this:

A first timer was outside the toilets marked Kane and Wahine and didn't know where she was to enter. She asked my help and I said it is easy...
Wai in Hawaiian means wide and hine is the same thing in English. So the women's is Waihine translated "Wide Hine" She thanked me and went in and a Hawaiian guy overheard the conversation and was literally bent over double laughing. :hysterical::hysterical:
