How much will they be running?

Closings from now until May will not pay any MF until they are due June 1, 2012.
Total out of pocket is 250. Closings after June 1,2012 you will need to pay the 2012/2013 MF of 923.43

Do you need to pay the June 2012 maintenance fees before you can do any booking for that year?

The main thing I hate about owning timeshares is waiting for closing. It's going to be a long 3 months.

It is looking like closings might just be 2 months this time. The coordinators are getting the wrinkles out and it looks like they are sending out paperwork via email and then you send your $250 check and there is a 10 day cancel period, that has changed from the 30 day cancel. So it closes faster.
I have been asked how many we have left. We had 25 we now have 9 left.
Woohoo!!

I've already had my ownership confirmed with II and I've even seen Marriott beach weeks in Palm beach in summer with this ownership. I'm surprised at how much more inventory I see with CMV than I did with my other supposedly silvercrown unit.

Out of curiosity, are you seeing these good trades in II with a red (summer) week or a blue/white week? I'm thinking about joining II and wondering would it would take to get decent trades.

Actually I'm seeing pretty decent trade opportunitiess with a white week deposited in the fall. I haven't deposited anything yet but you can play with the calendar for depositing to see what you can pull before reserving. It's kind of like the TPU calculator in a way since the ownership is registered as a floating ownership. :)

If I wasn't already all booked up with RCI bookings this year, I would have pretty much had my pick of summer Marriott Palm beach weeks, but I'll be ready for next year. ;)

Great, thanks for the information. Guess it is time for me to just go ahead and join II. I'm building up RCI TPUs fast enough that I can afford to place a week with II. Even better that I can play around with it before making a deposit.

It's funny to me that just months ago I was holding on to my pitiful TPUs (from my weak trader) to use a combination of multiple years to get one really great trade. Suddenly, I don't even know what I'm going to do with them all and I LOVE IT! :D

Yeah, I'm actually having to restrain myself from searching RCI cause I'm totally tortured with all the vacation opportunities I suddenly have that I never had before I took on this CMV, but that darn job keeps getting in my way. :wall:

I know the feeling of all this great opportunity since I joined RCI and so little time. I have so many questions for this, I'll start with which Marriott did you see for summer? Or can you see both of them? As stated in another thread, I really Love, (uh, I mean hate, ya I hate) Palm Beach in the summer! What would you say your cost per tpu is? I have a purchase agreement, I'm sending back tomorrow, I can't wait.

Assessments

Has there been any resolution on the impending special assessments this fall? There hasn't been much discussion since last fall about it. I'd like to know what I'm in for before I send back my purchase agreement.

The 3 CMV HOA meetings are on April 14, 2012 so we should know more after the meetings. Sheri might have some info from Bluegreen what the supposed lesser amounts will be then was the    BS posted on the CMV website last fall to IMHO help BG sell BG points. But these are just my MHO as I have no confirmed info to past around.

lol how does people have that much time to travel? 10 weeks is a lot if you are working.

I have some partial control on my schedule so occassionally can get a block of time but not 10 weeks a year.

You need to work while you travel. My laptap, portable printer/scanner, and fedex has made many extended "change of locations" possible for my family and I. :D

It's creative scheduling. I'm a nurse so can actually just take off 2 days and get a full week of vacation. I also use some of my weeks as long weekends and just go for 4 or 5 nights and throw away the rest or let someone else use it.

Still cheaper most times than a hotel room and I'm spoiled with TS's now. I want the space and a full kitchen even if I'm just gonna scramble some eggs for breakfast. I hate going out for breakfast, unless it's on check out day and it's Cracker Barrel. :D

I'm retired and I don't have time to take ten weeks of timeshare vacations, because it interupts my life too much. Everytime I take a week's timeshare, we miss his and my golf leagues, two or three parties, water aerobics, bocce match, tai chi classes, bridge, duplicate bridge, etc, etc, etc. Life is tough:rolleyes:

I can work in different locations too if I don't need to travel for work but it has implications since I am from Canada.

If I work remote, sometimes I have conference calls at 8 or 9am EST since my current users are in Europe and I work with some people in the US EST. EST and even CET might be okay but other timezones such as PST would make it 5am or 6am for those conference calls  :(

I work on the East Coast and I actually LIKE working in/on Hawaiian time. It's great that the markets close and the business day ends at NOON Hawaiian time!! Plenty of time to hit the beach and enjoy the day. :D It does take some getting used to watching NFL games and Nascar races over breakfast.

Christmas Mountain HOA Inventory

I have a couple UDI's left. They actually are from owners so if you moved fast they could be closed quickly, otherwise they will be transfered to the HOA.
Still no word on the SA, all I know it will not be more than 1000 per week per ownership, which means for UDI owners 3000 but from what I hear that would be the highest. I really dont think it will be that high, the project has been scaled back but I dont know details.

Update on Sale of HOA UDI ownerships

There are 2 Special Assessments left on the ownerships, you pay MF for the first year of usage, then going forward. The next SA will be due Jan 2014, We still have a few left but Blue Green is actually taking the excess inventory and converting it to points As owners we would like to keep the inventory in the UDI pot but we must have owners to MF and Bluegreen does pay their MF.
Let me know if you are interested in taking one on. I can go over what the costs would be.
These are amazing ownerships.

If Bluegreen is buying these ownerships back, does that reduce the number of weeks available to UDI owners to book, exchange, rent, etc?

Or perhaps, the opposite, less UDI owners means there are more available weeks to the current UDI owners?
