I got a call from this company saying my resort "Villa del Palmar Flamingo in PV" gave them information about my banked weeks and wanted to know if I'm interested in renting my weeks through them. They promised $2,100/week for my 2 bedroom unit. When I asked about fees, they told me there is an upfront fee of $599.00 (it could have been $699.00 which I don't remember clearly). I told them I don't feel safe about paying for services upfront before the units are rented and that I would have to verify their legitimacy with my resort before I would even consider them. Frankly, I don't even trust my own resort sales people to tell me that I can trust this company.

If you know anything about this company, please share your knowledge with us. We would appreciate it very much.

No specific information on that exact group but we see far too many similar "offers" here everyday

I would strongly suggest you avoid them as most are in it strictly for the upfront fee & you'll end up poorer and with no rentals. If they contacted you it's 99% certain its a ruse. Don't try to deal with them.

resorttimeshareresales.com sounds like a scam

if it walks like a duck and looks like a duck it most likely a SCAM.. you have to ask the question,, is your week at Villa del Palmer Flamingo worth $2,100 for the week? more that likely it over priced to suck you in and get your 6-700 bucks.

They always "promise" you the moon.. If your gut feeling is SCAM than more than likily this is a SCAM.. UP front fee are a dead giveaway especially for that amount of cash. never heard of them and very little contact info on website, just phone number.. kinda shady sounding at the least.

I appreciate the quick reply. I guess I just needed to hear what others had to say about this types of bad businesses every once in awhile.

Its hard to justify value on the week long stay at these places but apparently my wife and I thought it was worth the cost at the time of purchase when things were humming in PV. Of course our view today is another story being influenced with what's going on in Mexico and the overpriced airfares. However, we still look forward to visiting this resort each year as it is very pleasant place to stay and relax. It's just tougher these days to make the time to travel and spend the money in this economy.

Just now got off the phone with Sue at resort timeshare sales and she told me sho could get $2800 for my 2 bed VDP. lol

She also claims that the Dept of Agriculture enforces rules of timeshare sales and rentals in Florida and that agents wearing guns have entered their building to check on their activity. lol

Funny stuff.

Funny to those who are aware of the truth (you'll never get close to that number) but you can see how an uninformed owner, once sucked in by the developer sales pitch, would and could believe that. It's why these scams that are so transparent to us are often successful with those wanting to hear they can get out in far better shape dollar wise than reality allows. They then learn another lesson (hopefully). Some don't and get taken by basically the same line over and over again as we have seen too often from posts right here on TUG.

Publicizing the names and the MO of these groups helps it to be found on searches by potential marks. We may save a few, who knows.

This website has been very helpful thank you everyone : )!!! I was trying to sell or rent my Welks resort timeshare and all i see is a bunch of scams. thanks again, lately i have been getting phone calls from a company in Santa Ana, CA there called RH Solutions i was wondering if any of you guys have ever heard of them? i have not returned their calls and on i can't find no complaints online. Thanks again everyone!!

Their solution will leave you short more money, and still an owner

Scammers change names faster than you can change clothes. But modus operandi is pretty established.

If they contacted you with offer more than FMV 99.000% a scam

If they need money wired to close deal due to crisis a couple days before closing 99.999%!

Unfortunately many, many desperate owners have collectively lots many millions of dollars probably in billions believing in Tooth Fairy and Easter Bunny.:(

RH Solutions

They also contacted me and upon some investigation, I believe them to be a scam related to RH Financial and Timeshare Solutions scams from Orlando and Delaware. The Orlando PD is investigating RH Financial Holdings who have the identical scam.
Feel free to google the other two companies as the list of complaints is long.
If you were contacted by the group from Florida, the investigating officer for the RH Financial Holdings scam is hilary.bledsoe@cityoforlando.net.
I personally am in disbelief that they even used a name so similar to the others as there is a lot of bad press out there for the other companies.
