Does anyone have any recommendations for the MGV board of trustees election? I received the annual meeting notice with a ballot for the election of one trustee. There are three persons running. I do not want to vote for a Marriott or developer's stooge. Some of these boards are loaded with people who only want to protect the developer's interests.

I want to vote for someone who will represent the owners.

MGV Vote for Thomas A. Hatcher

I think Thomas Hatcher is a great choice...We have the pleasure of meeting him and his family at different properties over the years and what a down to earth person. I am voting for him because he truly cares about what is happening with our beloved MGV...
We WANT someone, One of us to speak up.

Ummm. The MGV annual meeting was held back in November. Looking back at the Notice of Annual Meeting information, I don't even see a Thomas Hatcher on the ballot? Is he perhaps planing to run in 2014? If that is the case, they haven't even solicited requests for nominees. Even if he submits that he wants to run, he may not even get on the ballot due to the selection process.

Are you perhaps referring to Monarch Grand Vacations Club? Now owned by DRI?

I do not own at this resort, but I feel if the election was held in November 2013 the results of the election should be available to all owners by now.

They should be, but we never seem to see the results. They aren't sent to us freely. Below is the prior board with their title and term:

LaVar Christensen President 2010-2013
John R. McSween Vice President 2011-2014
Tom Clarkson Secretary/Treasurer 2011-2014
Samuel Colmery Director 2010-2013
Richard Kraemer Director 2011-2014

Both Samuel and LaVar were on the ballot last year along with several other new people running for election. I have no idea if the incumbents were re-elected or not. I suppose I could e-mail the board, but they never send out the results to the owners. This isn't limited to Grande Vista, same thing at Harbour Lake.
