Has anyone ever heard of RCI doing a special on TPU combinations for odd points. I have 2 left on one deposit. They are useless by themselves, but I have trouble justifying $99 to add them to my larger deposit. Any thoughts or experience?

I thought RCI did a freebie last year -- but I cannot remember when. I'd like to see it offered again too. I have one lonely little TPU that I'd like to tuck in with the others. But, I'm not paying $109 for it!

I think they had a deal where you could combine to do an immediate exchange at no cost, but I could be wrong.

Basically you'll have to wait until you hve something else, unless your straggler is going to expire soon.

I'm not an RCI member, but this sounds like a way to screw the customer. Your points should be in a pot to spend as needed. Not fair to leave a few dangling just because a trade was not an exact match to your account.

Well, as I look at it, at least we have the option! Before tpus, a week was for a week, and there was never anything leftover to have the hope to do something with. Annoying? Yes. Better than before? I think so. :)

Look at it this way...With the old system if i traded in the small 1br side of my lockoff, i could only get another 1br for it...Now with TPU's that small side is worth 26 TPU...so far with that 24 TPU's(i deposited late) i have booked a 2br 16 TPU week in the poconos and am booking(have it on hold now) a 2br 7TPU week at Massanutten...

i'm pretty happy with the TPU system...heck i just traded the large 1br side of my lock off for a 3br at Governors Green and have change left over!

They did a promo last year where they would waive the combo fee in conjunction with a new deposit....I have been holding my 2013 deposit to see if they run it again.
