I have a friend going to Cabo for 2 nights. I hqave not been in 3 years. What are some great restaurants that I should send her to.
I said
1)the Trailer Park- what is the exact name of the"originals one" or is there a similar concept that is better than that one?
2)Edith's

I am still waiting to hear if wshe is on the corridor, san jose or Cabo.
Please share a few of your favorite restaurants.

The Original Trailer Park has moved to a location that is across the street from the entrance to City Club. Here's some info about the place.

We tried LaGolondrina for the first time this year (it's on the same street as the Trailer Park on the opposite side just down a little toward the beach). We liked it a lot because of the ambience of eating outside under the lovely lighted trees and the huge portions of food. You could easily share a plate of food. Here's their info.

Here's info about Edith's. We haven't eaten there because it's very expensive but others rave about it.

It will certainly depend on where your friend is staying and whether or not she will have a car if it's on the corridor or San Jose. All of the above restaurants are in Cabo San Lucas.

Our 3 favorites at this time

1. Villa Serena
2. Cascadas Beach Grill
3. Misiones de Kino

We really have liked Ediths too but they raised the prices too much

We really enjoyed Langosto Loco right in the center of town. It was very casual, open-air and non-touristy. The food and the margaritas were cheap and very good.

We liked the Tropicana in San Jose. We stop there for breakfast on our way to/from airport and then have had dinner there also. It has a palapa roof that extends out over sidewalk cafe along the main street near the church and city plaza area. There are also a couple cute little restaurants closer to the courtyard area near the church but on same side of street. Be sure to go inside the Tropicana with a camera. They have the cutest little hotel at rear and beautiful mural paintings on walls of interior sections of restaurant. Just ask to use the Bathroom and you will walk through the restaurant. Take your camera with you and then walk back to section beyone bathroom also. It is quaint. Food was good and reasonable the last time we were there.

Food

I second BBQ and would like to ad La Casa del Dorado family owned and the food is wonderful. It's a bit off the main street so I would suggest a Taxi.

Try the flan it is the best in Cabo.

If they are in San Jose, the Tropicana is very good and a steakhouse we went to La Bodega was also very good.

She could also go down to the Marina and try one of the following:
1. Salomons (and the new steakhouse he opened next door)
2. Alexanders
3. Baja Cantina

Take a look at Trip Advisor and look in the Baja forum and place "Trappers List" in the search line.

There are some of Trappers recommendations right here on TUG in post #4 of the Mexico sticky post at the top of the Mexico thread list.

If the OP's friend is staying in San Jose, I second that recommendation for Tropicana. It's a wonderful place. I also second nazclk's recommendation for Baja Cantina. It's especially nice at night when they have tables set out on the beach. They have two locations--one on the beach in front of Cabo Villas and one on the marina. I like the beach location best.
