Going back in time. I found this fascinating because it is just the five band members playing live - not in the studio and no backup musicians. Just the five band members. I was also struck by how punk "Shattered" starting about 9:00) sounded. When punk hit, to me it was just a return to the garage band rock of my teens - band members playing rock with just their guitars and drums and maybe a keyboard. And that's that sounded like to me - assuming that the guys in the garage band were the Rolling Stones.

I listened to that song frequently back then and still listen to it occasionally. It's amazing that they're still touring, minus Charlie Watts.

I saw them in July that year, they played at Oakland Coliseum, a Bill Graham Day on the Green concert. The Some Girls tour, but it was a last minute addition, heard it announced on KSAN and ran down to Tower records to get tickets. Peter Tosh, Eddie Money, and Santana with the Stones headlining. We worked our way to the front but the stage was so high Mick was 20ft over our heads.

I'm surprised I remember much of it.

We just saw them in Las Vegas last month at Allegiant Stadium. I was amazed that Mick Jagger was rocking it like he did. It was an astounding concert - a trip down memory lane, with many of their iconic hits - and then a lot of stuff from their latest album, which is quite good. All in, I enjoyed the heck out of it. And I'm not a fan of stadium concerts.

I saw them the same year (1978 - Some Girls Tour) on July 16 in Boulder, Colorado, along with Kansas, Eddie Money, and Peter Tosh. My ticket cost $13. The next time I saw them was at Petco Park in San Diego in 2015.

I've never been to a Stones concert. As my signature says, "You can't always get what you want." My daughter's kids would hate it when their Mom sang that to them.

Shadoobie !

They were partying all week and consequently sound a little rough like a garage band
Mick really likes being on stage (like some other entertainers) so he won't ever quit

He's also been drug free for a number of years, so is likely better now than he was back in the SNL days. He says his voice has improved each year since he quit. Keith Richards' guitar playing is better than it's been in forever, for the same reason. The Stones' latest album sounds pretty good.
