Most of those are pretty good. 3 big tourist traps on there that should be skipped are Times Square (although it is free and you can just walk through), The Alamo, and The Space Needle.

Times Square should be seen at least once.

All I remember about it is a fight a store owner was getting into with a racist that was telling him to go back to India. We quickly left the area.

That would have happened in one very small part of Times Square. My daughter doesn't like it, but that is because it's usually very crowded. I just think it's fun to walk through and see everything lit up at night.

We have been to only 12 so far. I would love to visit Texas and Mt. Rushmore.
Suggestion only a good time to visit Asheville and The Biltmore is doing the Christmas Holiday‘s. Your eyes will never forget how Beautiful Built a USA castle can be that was built in the early 1900’s. IMHO.

All those bright lights and all those tall buildings are just amazing.

16 for me, 17 if seeing the Statue of Liberty from a boat instead of going on the island counts.

Been to 11 of these and live close to Niagara Falls. Niagara Falls is a great place to visit. And, everyone, should visit both sides of the falls. Just remember to bring your passport to cross the Canadian border. You can walk the bridge to Canada.

Similar question about the Hollywood sign. Do you have to go up there for it to count?

We’ve been to most, but not all. I have no interest in the ones we haven’t seen. And I’ve seen other places I think are better than a few on this list.

It’s funny, I lived in NY most of my life and never got around to going to Ellis Island/Statue of Liberty, though I’ve seen it in the distance driving by. No interest in going now.

Queens Girl here. Only visited the Statue of Liberty with DH and our 2 young children during a trip home. More recently, DH and I took the Ellis Island Hard Hat tour. Both experiences were very much worth it IMHO.

Mesa Verde is a must see. Many national parks are worthy of being on a list. Yellowstone is amazing. Kevin Costner did a documentary about the history of Yellowstone that is worth watching.

This first time we went to Time Square we watched a group of large sized rats fight with pigeons over bread crumbs.

Still had a great time though.

Yellowstone is on the list. My daughter thought Yosemite should be as well.

I’m sure it’s nice to see, but I really don’t anticipate ever going back to NYC again anyway. Just not a big draw for me.
