10 Audiobooks That Are Worth Getting for the Voice Acting Alone - by Esther Ingliss-Arkell/ Suprerlist/ io9:We Come From the Future/ io9.com

"Do you ever outgrow the pleasure of having a story read to you? Not if you’re listening to these books. From A-list celebrities to talented voice actors with multiple pseudonyms, these voices will make you love literature, even if you’re listening to it instead of reading it..."

One of the Books on the list - "The Proud Tower: A Portrait of the World Before the War, 1890-1914", read by Wanda McCaddon does not have the author listed. It's the distinguished American Historian Barbara W. Tuchman.

Barbara has twice been awarded the Pulitzer Prize. One for 'The Guns of August' and the other for 'The American Experience in China'.

I was introduced to Barbara when I was given her book 'Stilwell' as a Christmas present - and I was hooked. I have read many her books and highly recommend 'The First Salute: A View of the American Revolution' and
'The March of Folly: From Troy to Vietnam".

I have not yet read 'The Proud Tower' but it is on my list of books to read. So now that I see it listed on this list of audiobooks, I'll have to move it up higher on my list and see if I can get the audiobook from the library.

I check out audiobooks all the time from my library and have gotten very attached to some narrators, to the point that I don't care what the book is if they're narrating.

To the list posted above I'd add Madam Secretary, Madeleine Albright's autobiography, which she narrates herself in the audiobook.
