I have never heard of this type of gift card. Did you get it for buying a week at a resort managed by Trading Places? What does "one week anywhere trading places international is a member" mean? Is that different than one of the weeks that Trading Places has in their online inventory?

This is an actual certificate that TPI(new home resort manager) gave to me to fix a SNAFU caused by Celebrity Resorts(old demonic resort managment company involved in huge lawsuit cause they are the thievingest, most nasty, shady version of timeshare demons).

Any available location shown on TPI website can be used with this card from now until 12/31(unless you pay $109 to extend it another year).

The only restriction (unless extended) is that it must be used by 12/31/2011

A well stated and entirely accurate description, imho.

Celebrity's recent post-bankruptcy reinvention / rebranding as "Legacy Vacation Club" is unlikely to result in any substantive changes to that picture either, imho (name change and faux "makeover" nothwithstanding).

I'm afraid I'm not in the market for any TPI credits. I have a bunch of weeks banked with them. I'm just trying to figure out how this deal works, in case anyone else can use it. I do think $700 is rather high, though.

Yes-it can be used to request a week as well.

price is 100% negotiable.

BTW-I/we(collective owners group) are THRILLED TPI has taken over resort managment at David Walleys.
while Celebrity/Legacy/Scammers still control reservations(lawsuit in progress to remove that) TPI still manages to make lemonade from used, rotten lemons that Celebrity left after stealing all the money from reserves.
