How would you rank the following WKORV StarOption reservations (in terms of view and quality) a :
1 Bedroom Premium Villa
1 Bedroom Premium Villa Deluxe
1 Bedroom Premium Villa Standard
and why?
All units would be oceanview and all would be booked about 8 Months out

Hello 5finny,

There are other Starwood owners who have more experience that me, but I think in terms of View quality, it is more dependent on which building and view plane you would prefer.

Personally, for WKORV, I like the OV units in Buildings 2 and 3 that overlook the pool, and request highest floor possible for an opportunity to maximize the ocean view. I have seen others who prefer to be in Building 2 on the parking lot side, and again that is personal preference.

I do believe the 1BR Standard, from a room quality perspective, will be smaller than the traditional 1BR but I've always found the Starwood lockoffs to be far superior to the Marriott lockoffs, which are true hotel rooms.

I hope this is helpful -- I would be happy with any of them, to be honest.

Best,

Greg

The one bedroom standard units are substantially larger than the one bedroom side of a lockoff unit (based on their respective MF's which are based on square footage).

The issue is location. I agree with @GregT's comments about the most desirable locations. The one bedroom standard units located at 2x24, 2x25, 3x24, and 3x25 should be good; they are the closest units to the ocean apart from the OF units. But there are also standard one bedroom units located at the end of buildings 2 and 3 furthest from the water; I would not want one of those units. Because owners of the 1bd standard units who make their reservations 8-12 months in advance will get the better rooms, I would shy away from the one bedroom standard units if reserving at the eight month mark.

All of the one bedroom deluxe units are in building 4 (except ocean front deluxe units) which is the furthest from the water. Some of them will have parking lot views. I would avoid those as well.

Full disclosure: Although I have stayed at WKORV >25 times, I have never stayed in one of the "standard" one bedroom units.

Thanks for all the replies
Actually had to try and make the reservations before I saw these posts
Wound up with 2 right at 8 month mark
Check-In: 07/19/2025
Check-Out: 07/27/2025
Length of Stay: 8 Night(s)
Villa Type: 1 Bedroom Premium Villa, Standard, Oceanview
StarOptions: 97,200
Reservation Type: Vistana Signature Network Reservation
Sounds like my target should probably have been 1 Bedroom Premium Villas
In any event I will consider myself lucky to have gotten what I did
