Looking to visit Plam Desert in April/May and Have options for a 1 bedroom at Marriott Shadow Ridge and Enclaves and also the smaller 1 bedroom side at the Westins in Plam Desert. For people that have visited these various resorts which would you choose. I would prefer a 1 bedroom at Desert Springs 1 or 2 so will see if that pops up later before my trip.

Shadow Ridge has two distinct phases SR 1 Villages and SR2 Enclaves. The Enclaves have about 20 "Deluxe" units that split into two one-bedroom units. If you are exchanging (say through ii) into a 1 BR Enclaves, you may want to make sure that you don't get a 1 BR with LK. That means that you'll be in the smaller side. You'll probably be happier in the bigger 1 BR side.

We go to the Palm Desert Marriotts a couple times a year. I slightly prefer DSV2. But DSV1 is also nice. And if I can't book them on the dates that I want, then I will happily book Shadow Ridge Villages. I own a SR Enclave Deluxe unit but haven't stayed there yet. But it trades really well.

So far I have the full 1 BR Enclaves, will try and see if a 1 bedroom at DSV 1 or 11 opens up.

If you are traveling as a couple into a full 1 BR Enclaves, you'll enjoy it. Of the various Marriotts in Palm Desert it is one of the smaller units. There is a moveable wall that sometimes people mention if they are traveling with more than two people because it doesn't do a very good job of sound reduction.

I find the smaller side of the Westin units dark. I prefer to stay away from them, even though they are much more practical than Marriott studios.

I would go for the Marriott unit.
