    Hubby's heart...

Thanks you all for your replies! I really appreciate the support. Hubby came home today, Still with a 98% blockage. It's been quite frustrating. We've had three cardiologists from the same practice and one of their PA's chiming in. We've had the urologist and his PA. Hubby's first appointment...

    Hubby's heart...

Thanks Jim for thinking of us. I think he was in denial and thought it would go away. He only told me when he did because I questioned why he wasn't having his appointment with his primary physician virtually.

You’ve had a lot “on your plate” too. Good news! I know the fear of return is always present but you can allow yourself that sigh of relief! Yes, having Tuggers to “talk” to really does help and I appreciate the support & prayers!

Thanks. It’s been more of a shock because he didn’t tell anyone for so long.

I’m at home with my mother. He’s in Roper next door to MUSC. Hospitals won’t allow anyone inside except patients due to COVID.

My hubby told me that he knew this was worse than first cardiologist said. And has turned out so. Glad your doctor insisted on the angiogram too!

Wow, you’ve done well! I knew he should have gone to MUSC next door. But he’s in Roper.

Thanks Jim! They said they can't do a procedure that requires blood thinners unless they determine where the bleeding is coming from and that it won't continue.

Thanks. Yes, I am used to being my family and friends' hospital advocator. It's tough not being there. But hey, he's happy having two good looking nurses who also are thoughtful and helpful. :giggle:

    Hubby's heart...

Thank you. I hope so. Somehow, when we first moved here, we chose primary care physicians affiliated with a particular hospital. Later we learned that they are required to refer to another physician in that system, regardless if they personally feel someone else is better. So we've ended up...

    Hubby's heart...

Appreciate that information! So a choice between dying of a stroke or a heart attack? :) The urologist was reluctant to say it was from the Turp or prostate. He said it could be something else like tumors in a kidney. That we learn tomorrow from CT scan and his looking into the prostate. I'm a...

    Hubby's heart...

Thank you. Not to receive pity, but I'm also dealing with my 98 year old mother's fall last week resulting in a badly torn shin needing daily wound care. All too much happening at one time. But my mother used to tell me, "Just do the next thing." That's what I'm doing. Chocolate ice cream also...

    Hubby's heart...

Some of you read of the impending procedure to take a look at my hubby's heart. He kept his pain a secret from all for three months and finally saw his GP last week. His EKG was abnormal. Sent for a nuclear stress test on treadmill which was also abnormal but did not show where or how much...

Where the name 'lsaias' comes from and how to pronounce it

Thanks! It was much ado about nothing for us. I do have the "yellow tree" that hangs over the wall no2 half over and half blew back into the front of the house where it will remain until I get someone here to fix it. I was mainly concerned about being able to get to the hospital, which always...

Singles with no significant other - timeshare/vacation travel

Hubby says that I just want him to go to drive and carry the bags. But he likes to travel and take it all in, though I am the planner. I do go to movies and theater alone. And I have eaten dinner out alone quite a few times. I think the nicer the restaurant the worse I feel eating alone...

Where the name 'lsaias' comes from and how to pronounce it

It's eerie outside here now. I don't know how to describe it except that It's yellow outside. The rain has stopped the breeze is light but it's strange looking out there. I guess I can put the oil lamp and flashlights away again till the next one.

    Pool Remodeling

When we redid our pool, I chose the tile and then took off to NYC for a week with my girls. Came home to a different tile. Wasn't happy but the whole project had gone on so long that hubby just wanted it to get over with. Still think of the other one every time I look at it!

I think you are right. Your first choice goes best with the style and color of your home, coping and pots.

Singles with no significant other - timeshare/vacation travel

I've traveled to Atlanta or Charlotte many times solo just to get away and shop. I travel solo to Myrtle Beach for a four day conference every February. When I travel to visit a good friend in Greenville, SC, I stay in a hotel solo. I've thought of traveling to Italy solo and just hope I get...

Eastern States Pictures no guessing involved

YES! It was the first time we’d seen the Hudson River beyond NYC. My mother has a military ID so we were able to get on the campus. After I rolled down the car window, and later got out in the fog, I started coughing and coughing. It was new to me and kind of scary.
