I'm looking for a two-bedroom unit in the Napa/Sonoma area. Worldmark Windsor or Vino Bello would be ideal, but there may be others I don't know of. Thanks!

Vino bello has been pretty sold out for May/June weekends for months on the Wyndham side. A shell owner might have something but it’s doubtful. 2-bed at Vino bello typically are gone at least 6-8 months out. For e.g. I reserved a studio for first week of November in January as there were no 1-beds available.

Interestingly, I see that Extra Vacations has three of the four days I need for a good price for the two bedroom. I may end up doing that and just staying closer to the airport on the first night.

Yeah- that has caused me great frustration previously. I’ve ended up having to rent a room even when I had plenty of points to book it with. With Vino Bello, Wyndham owns part, Shell owns part of the inventory. I imagine 2 things could be happening, 1- owners are reserving and giving to extra holiday to rent (highly unlikely based on my rate of return on a rental I tried with them - $29 for a night at Grand Desert in Vegas), or 2- Wyndham is renting out the inventory they own that isn’t sold to owners. The irritating part of this to me is that it seems they cherry pick the good days to rent and leave owners with reduced options on highly desirable weekends/time periods.

Pretty bad when it costs more for you to reserve dates as a Shell West owner than Extra Holidays is charging.

Shell is not a great system. I am unimpressed and want to use Ovations to get rid of them, but I need to use some points, or I will be giving them a gift, and I won't do that.

Well- the quote you had and what I said are not quite congruent. I said it seems they do this- you made it appear as if I knew they did.
Oh well, sorry.
I know they do it.
