We have a reservation here in late August. We are in building three in a presidential unit. What unit would you recommend we ask for? Also any recommendations on places to eat? Thanks

I dont think it will matter. It's already predetermined if your upper or lower floor and I'm pretty sure all presidentials are oceanfront but that is predetermined too by the room selected.

Nothing great to eat within walking distance of OB. There are some bars, like Duffy's that have some fried seafood.
Locals love a place called Haskins on Main Street that is close. Breakfast and lunch are best. Always a line out the door but it moves quickly.
Driving wise, you have a 1000 choices. We love Boardwalk Billy's just off 17, Flying Fish at Barefoot. Tiny place called Rockefellers has good oysters on the half shell at about $.50 each during happy hour.

We loved eating lunch at Hoskins and often walked there from OB. You can check out their lunch specials on their website. I just looked at it and it doesn't say that biscuits and cornbread are served as part of the lunches. Ice tea was also included but only if you ate in, not with carry out. Some times if we didn't want to leave the beach and have to get cleaned up to go to lunch my husband would walk down and bring our lunch back for us to eat on the beach. Once a trip we would go there for dinner and split the large seafood platter. Hoskins peanut butter pie is excellent.
