Is it just me, or do others get random charges just showing up on your WorldMark account? I paid my quarterly dues about a week ago, and went online to view my account today, to make sure things had been credited. And what do I see? Under "Payment Amount" it says ".16," as in Sixteen Cents. Now I'm no math whiz, but where in the heck would that have come from? The quarterly bill was paid in full the same day it showed up in my account. What gives?
So I call WorldMark, wait on Hold forever, and finally get to someone who has the worst English language I've ever heard online. A HUGE accent, poor pronunciation of English words, and quite difficult to understand. After she verified every little thing about my personal contact info, (none of which had changed since the last time I'd called in, and even though I kept saying it), she finally asked why I was calling. I politely asked her why this charge was on my account, and what was it for?
She went into "Reading the script" mode, and finally said she'd put me on Hold so she could talk to a Supervisor. She came back on the line three times, each time to tell me she was still waiting to talk to a Supervisor.
Eventually she came back on the line to tell me not to worry about it, and they'd take care of it. I asked what the charge was for, and she said something I don't understand, about interest rate charges on a late fee from last year, but my account actually has a zero balance, and isn't overdue, so not to worry about it. "It's just how our system works" she said.
Seriously? I've heard others say WM has outdated software, but this explanation, if true, makes no sense. Why would it charge me interest on a late fee that never existed? For being the leader in timeshare sales, I'd expect Wyndham to have better software to keep track of member billing statements.
