Hello everyone!!!
I’m very new to the site and timeshares in general. Here is a quick background to my introduction to Wyndham Access 200,000 points plan.
December 27th, we got roped into a presentation and made the purchase of above plan. Sounded great at the time, but reality is setting in that not everything promised came to fruition. I am not deeded to a home location, or even have a certificate of ownership, as of yesterday (4/13/19), according to another presentation at the cypress palm. I was not informed that I needed to declare my intentions within 45 days, So they roped us into another deal that would convert an additional 200,000 for a total of 400,000 annual for a huge price, deeded to bonnet creek. ( I will be sending my rescission letter by mail tomorrow, thank you TUGs). I was hoping for some additional help towards making a good resale purchase to maximize our current 200,000 points. Here goes with answers.
1) Is there a vacation destination you wish to visit most of the time or on a regular basis? if so where?
No, we would like to see different places. Mostly tropical/beach locations.

2) Do you want to visit your home resort at least half the time, or do you want to trade more than half the time?
I guess right now no.

3) What are your 5 top trade destinations?
Florida
Caribbean
Hawaii
Thailand
Europe?

4) How many people do you usually travel with?
5-8

5) Can you travel any time, or are you locked into the school schedule?
Locked into school schedule for the most part.
6) Can you make firm plans 12 or more mos. in advance?
Yes
7) Can you vacation for a full week at a time?
Yes
8) What level of accommodations do you prefer on a scale of 1 to 5 stars?
4
9) How much can you afford to spend upfront, without financing?
20k
10) How much can you afford to spend every year for a maintenance fee that will come due right after Christmas, and increase each year?
3-5k
11) Are you a detail oriented planner?
Somewhat, wife is.
12) Do you understand that once you buy a timeshare, it may be very difficult to sell or give away, and you are responsible for all fees, until you do? Yes I am aware

You're already invested in Wyndham's system. No reason to learn another system. You might as well just add another contract resale from eBay, the TUG Marketplace or wherever. I am told that resale points don't count toward VIP, and that perk isn't worth it's cost.

Welcome to TUG. Just a friendly tip, if you'd seen us before you bought, we could have saved you $thousands. Now spend the $15 to join and get access to reviews of thousands of resorts by TUGgers.

There are plenty of Wyndham free or next to free inventory around that people would like to be parted with. Just make sure MFs are not to high, using CWA MF pricing as an average. (So basically what your MFs are now).
