I purchased a Hyatt Beach House from previous owner, it passed ROFR, it’s been almost 4 months now and nothing from Hyatt. I have called Myra Mummah the transfer coordinator for Hyatt multiple times and left messages over the last 2 months, no Answer! I bought this unit because I want week 39 and only have 2 weeks left to reserve it as an owner and can’t. The previous owner is still the owner of record in Hyatt’s files even after me being the registered owner with the county for over a month, previous owner is still the only one with access to the account. I had to contact the previous owner for her to reserve my week 39 in her name when I am the owner of record!! Then, I will have to pay the $30 for her to transfer the reservation to me, the owner of record!!
I see A nice Law Suit on the way. Hyatt if your reading this, You will be hearing from my attorney!

One of two things happened (and maybe both). Whoever is handling the transaction for you didn't promptly send the recorded deed AND $650 transfer fee to Hyatt. Or/And... The transfer in the Hyatt system is bogged down in the Hyatt/Vistana/Marriott transition.

The good news that your reservation at HBH is secured - you'll feel more relaxed when you're in KW.

Check with the realtor who handled your transaction and ensure that they paid the transfer fee, if the county recognizes you but Hyatt does not, make sure that the realtor has paid the transfer fee... ugh so sorry...

Hyatt has up to 30 business days to complete the transfer, starting from the day they receive a complete package from the title company, including recorded deed, misc forms, $650 transfer fee, and any unpaid previous maintenance fees, if any. If anything is missing, they will notify the title company, and the 30 business days will only start counting when they receive everything.

Ask your title / transfer company for the exact date (then ask for proof) Hyatt received the complete transfer packet. Hyatt has 30 business days to transfer after they receive it. My guess is Hyatt has not received a complete transfer packet yet.

Ok, I would complain to First American Corporate. Send a certified letter of complaint Return Receipt to the corporate office in CA:
First American Financial Corporation
1 First American Way
Santa Ana, California 92707

Professionally state what has transpired and who was involved.
Include:
Date of ROFR
Date Deed was registered
Address of the Office handling your transfer
