If I would buy a 1BR at Grandview that is points instead of deeded week, and then wanted to stay at another VV Resort, would I only be able to book it as a 1BR because that;s what I would have at Grandview (since they are all VV) OR since its just points I could still book a 2BR lockout if I wanted?

I know with points, I can book whatever is available, but was just wondering about the other VV resorts on the east coast...since they are all owned by the same resort system...like VV at Parkway or VV at Massenutten, or VV at Bonaview, etc.

You can stay at any resort in VV portfolio or any other RCI Points or Week resorts with availability and your cost will be whatever their room points rate are the week and unit size your booking.

VV resorts tend to get a very lucrative amount of points in RCI for their points program. This also means it takes a lot more points to stay in them. Typically last calls not all but 70 percent of time are better value than points to stay in. Most all size VV units in last calls are around $300 for a week. Holiday and event weeks will be substantially higher. Massenutten will typically be higher in summer season.

If you book with points 45 days or less before checkin points rates get substantial reduced also.

I’ll attach a couple photos showing example last minute Points costs for some VV Parkway units. Note on photo of a 1 bedroom it’s cost for a weeks unit is better than a Points unit so if both are available always pick the cheaper one. These are just random to show you what I’m talking about.

picture with prices shows last call prices there are only 1 bedrooms available at this time at this resort. Note partial kitchen or full is same price so if you want the full kitchen you have to make sure you pick it instead of partial.

1 last tip. Note: price of last call is $294. This is it no exchange fees at all just tax.

If you exchange you spend points plus pay an exchange fee. This may cost more some times. At penny a point 4900 Points is $49 plus exchange fee

Points are like currency. Your 1bd unit gives you a certain amount of points. You can book any resort or unit size (studio, 1bd, 2bd, 3bd, etc) with availabile inventory in RCI. The only limitation is the number of points you have in your account and the number of points the unit you want costs.
