Need some info on how VRB works as I have never used them before. I am relocating to the Florida Panhandle near Tallahassee in February. The closest timeshares are 2 hours away in Panama City. I see that VRB has some rentals in the area that I am needing housing for a week or so while I house hunt.

Thanks,

Suzanne

If you mean VRBO you essentially just go in the website, read the reviews for a property you are interested in and follow the instructions for booking the dates you want and making a deposit and so forth. You can also communicate with the owner via the website.

Voluntarily deleted post --- the bad experience I related in detail was actually with airbNb, not with VRBO; I briefly had my "lodging acronyms" confused.
Have never used VRBO. I am going to just be quiet now and go away and pour myself a cup of strong coffee.

Before we purchased our timeshares we used them all the time and had great luck. The reviews are key though. If there are only old reviews be wary. We rented from 1 place in Italy with good older reviews but no recent ones. Those tend to be more run down. In the past, they could screen reviews , hence all good ones, and now they have to post all reviews. We also rarely rent new places with no reviews even if they look good.
We have had some truly amazing finds through VRBO for very reasonable rates. Good luck.
