I reserved a unit a Villa Del Palmar Flamingo Nuevo Vallarta hoping it would be nice. II give it the rating one higher than gold, so, I thought it would be nice. My cousin told me she was there recently and the couch was moldy. EEK! Has anyone been here recently? I read the TUG reviews, and it sounds nice.
Thanks in advance for any info!

This resort has always had these cheap fabric orange couches. They do take these down to the basement on a schedule for a deep cleaning or replacement. I haven't ever seen mold or junk under the cushions but it could happen.

In the closet is an extra set of linens that are very nice. I always cover the couch with a sheet at pretty much any resort we go to. I don't use the couch pillows because I think most people have used them as foot stools. I use the extra pillows with the extra linen. They are pretty nice at Flamingos.

VDP Flamingos is nice. Remember you are heading to a tropical location. Bugs, reptiles, humidity are part and parcel of that type of vacation.

The high humidity leads to easy mold. If you find some, just point it out to housekeeping. The Villa group does an excellent job on maintenance. I'm sure you will enjoy your time there. The pools and beach there are very good for the Pacific side of Mexico.
