Un-exploded mine floating in Port Orchard Bay

I have never seen a real one floating and would consider it a real bummer if I hit it with my boat. We look at floating objects as a good place to get a bucket of muscles. I never thought that one of these floating objects could be a mine.

They don't know is what it sounds like. They did blow it up so who knows if they will ever know.

They said on the news today it was used by the Navy in training missions several years ago, to see if drones could find them. They thought they'd recovered them all, but said "some hadn't floated back to the surface." That was a bit unsettling - implying there could be more out there. Yikes!
