We are headed for our 3 week trip to the carolinas. First week is Foxhunt at sapphire valley in NC then a week at Hilton Head and our final week in pickens, sc at Table rock resort. Have been to Hilton Head before and will take day trips to Savanah and Charleston. What are some things I should see or do that you enjoyed?

The region around Sapphire Valley is known for waterfall hikes. Beautiful area. It's about a 45 minute drive, some on winding mountain roads, to get to Asheville for visits to the Biltmore Estate, Grove Park Inn, wonderful restaurants and arts.

Just my two cents......I'd hit Savannah on the way in or out of HHI. As for Charleston, it's not near your other destinations, so do that as a day trip. Go in the middle of the week to avoid crowds. From Table Rock, I would spend a day in Greeneville, SC. Very cool place with lots to do and good food/beer scene.
