The cervical cancer virus epidemiological link was first noted in a far right political magazine, widely mocked at the time. . . (Early '60s I believe, if my memory serves me. Might be the late '50s)

One of those oddball things I picked up in the late '70s, getting my micro/molecular biology degree. . .
