Love my food saver! Just broke up a family pack size of chicken breasts that were on sale yesterday.

We have another brand that isn't on that list, but they all look about the same to me. We love ours. I'd love to get a chamber vacuum sealer, but those are an order of magnitude more expensive.

We regularly buy meat on sale (this week, one grocery store has USDA Prime sirloins under $5/lb and other has boneless NY strips under $5/lb) and vacuum seal and freeze in portions for our family (5). Also, I smoke quite a bit of meat and a lot of it (brisket, pulled pork, chicken legs) vacuum seal and freeze very nicely. Just thaw, put the bag in simmering water for 15 minutes, and it's as good as fresh off the smoker. For the chicken legs, I put it on the grill for about 5 minutes per side to crisp up the skin. With sale prices of $2/lb for brisket, $1/lb for pork butts, and under $0.50/lb for chicken legs, it makes for some very tasty, quick, affordable meals!

Just use Alaska Airlines. According to some TUGgers Alaska sucks. :D
