I'm curious as to what 'actually' goes on at the owners meeting. I have read that there are a couple of educational opportunities that I am hoping are not in the disguise of sales opportunities for them. I am trying to decide whether or not to change my flights that I had originally had planned for a couple of days AFTER the meeting to try to fly in early to actually attend if it is worth it. Please let me know your honest feedback. I appreciate it!!

Make sure you get a reservation for one or both of the owner meetings before you change anything. It is worth going to if you are in the area anyway.

If you don't already have a reservation for the meeting you won't be able to get one now. You could call to ask but I doubt you will be told differently.

We have Grand Desert booked September 30-October 13 and the one bedroom suite side of our lock off unit is available. I don't have the whole stay on last minute rentals so pm me if you are interested.

For those attending the meeting we really need to get something going to get together! Wednesday or Thursday evening. Anyone got any ideas or willing to host something?

I'm so disappointed!!! There was no due date on my paperwork. I called Wyndham and they said it was too late. Anyone know who I can call from the PTVO Owners Association?

There won’t be any sales.

Although the sales dept will be represented in the question and answer sessions they won’t be in the “business” meeting

Understand this is the required annual meeting of the Club ie the Fairshare Trust. The financial report is the heart of the thing: everything else is fluff. And the finances discussed is the annual program fee.

As to the value of attending. Not much except they always served a nice lunch

I always made a point of meeting as many of Wyndham people as I could. Over the years I met Peter Hernandez, Geoff Richards and other top management folks as well as folks in the owner care dept. I’m not sure whether that was good or bad; they still forced me out

It’s worth between $100 and $150. Only you can say for sure if that is enough compensation for your vacation time and dealing with pushy salespeople. The

For the Club Wyndham Plus meeting last year, there were no apparent sales people there selling timeshares at the meeting. If the attendee was staying in a Wyndham resort and got invited to a Owner Update, then there is typically a gift of some sort.

They are referring to the Wyndham Annual owners meeting. Not the sales pitches they try to sign you up for when you check in at a resort. They have one every year where they discuss financial stuff and future plans if any.
